Nigel Owens, Louis Taylor and Jonny Jeremiah

Spotlight on Rugby Legends

Rugby holds a special place in our hearts, and through The AfterShow, we are proud to feature the experiences of some of its most respected figures:

Nigel Owens — Widely regarded as one of the greatest rugby referees in history, Nigel’s career spans decades of high-stakes international matches. Beyond his impeccable officiating skills, Nigel’s journey is one of courage and authenticity, breaking barriers in sports as an LGBTQ+ role model. His insights remind us that integrity and humanity are just as important as skill in the game.

Mike Brown — A formidable presence on the rugby pitch, Mike Brown’s career as a dynamic fullback for England and Harlequins is marked by determination and leadership. His experiences navigating the highs and lows of professional rugby provide invaluable lessons on teamwork, perseverance, and evolving as an athlete and person.

Through exclusive interviews and candid conversations, The AfterShow invites you to explore the stories behind these rugby icons — their challenges, triumphs, and the inspiring principles that have guided their paths.

Louis Taylor

Co-Founder

Hi, I’m Louis Taylor and I’m Co-founder of The AfterShow. I’ve always been drawn to creative storytelling and building experiences that bring people together—whether through events, branding, or honest conversation.

Sport’s been a huge part of my life, not just rugby. I’ve played, watched, coached, and lived it for as long as I can remember. I loved my time playing for Windsor RFC and Wasps AASE, and now I coach the Windsor and Berkshire Colts—something that keeps me connected to the game and the next generation coming through.

The AfterShow was born from a shared belief in the power of personal stories. We spotlight the journeys of influential individuals across sport and culture, digging into the moments that shape who they are. At its core, The AfterShow is about education, connection, and thinking about what comes next—the life after.

Jonny Jeremiah

Co-Founder

Hi, I’m Jonny Jeremiah and I'm Co-founder of The AfterShow.

I’ve been immersed in sports since the age of five, starting out playing rugby at Windsor RFC. Over the years, I worked my way up through the ranks to the first team, proudly represented Berkshire, and even spent a brief but formative stint with London Irish. These days, I play socially in Nottingham with friends which I absolutely love.

My passion for sport goes far beyond just watching or playing - it’s about the people, their journeys, and the transitions they face. Over the years, I have developed a real interest in sparking conversations around one of the most overlooked aspects of an athlete’s life: preparing for what comes after their professional career.

That passion led me to co-create The AfterShow, a platform dedicated to honest, educational conversations that help athletes and other professionals think critically about life beyond their current roles. Too often, athletes find themselves unprepared for sudden career shifts, whether due to injury, being dropped, or simply the natural end of their playing days. For many, their current earnings may not sustain them through retirement, making adaptability and continued education essential.
