An afternoon with Mike Brown

On Saturday, 16th August, The AfterShow had the privilege of hosting the legendary Mike Brown — and what an unforgettable event it turned out to be. The Windsor Trooper set the perfect scene, offering a warm and welcoming space that had everything we needed to bring this special evening to life.

From the moment Mike took the stage, the audience was hooked. He shared stories about how he first found his way into rugby, the thrill (and sometimes embarrassment) of his many debuts, and the unforgettable moments of running headfirst into South Africa’s infamous “Bok wardrobes” on the pitch. Every tale was told with a mix of honesty and humor that had the crowd hanging on his every word.

What made the afternoon even more inspiring was hearing about Mike’s life after rugby. His transition into the world of sports consulting showed the same drive and determination that made him a leader on the field. It was clear to everyone in the room that his passion for success extends far beyond the game.

One of the night’s highlights was the VIP meet and greet. It was a lively session, especially when Mike found himself fielding questions from an English, Irish, and Scottish fan — all at the same time! The setup allowed everyone to spend quality time with him, ask their burning questions, snap photos, and leave with signed memorabilia to remember the night by.

Adding even more atmosphere was the fantastic live music from Marmalade Productions, with Lewis on the mic delivering tunes that catered to all tastes and kept spirits high throughout the evening.
